If you’re an employer and want to train workers for new or better jobs in B.C., the Canada-B.C. Job Grant may be able to help.

There are two ways for you to apply. You can apply directly to government by following the steps below or you can visit the Delivery Partner Program to find the list of available delivery partners that will help you as an employer to assess your skills needs and assist you with your grant application.

Step 1: Confirm your eligibility.

Use the checklist to see if you’re eligible for a Canada-B.C. Job Grant.

Step 2: Complete an application package

Electronically fill out, print and sign an employer application form.  Have your worker(s) electronically complete, print, and sign a participant information form.

Step 3: Submit your application before the end of February.

Scan and email the completed and signed employer application and participant information forms to cjginfo@gov.bc.ca. Once everything has been received, you’ll be notified within 30 days of a decision.

Step 4: Sign an agreement with the province.

Once your application is approved, you will be requested to sign an agreement with the province outlining each party’s responsibilities for ensuring a worker is trained and provided a job at the end of training.

Step 5: Train your employee.

You’ll pay the full cost of training in advance. Once your worker has begun their approved training, you'll be eligible for reimbursement.

Step 6: Apply for reimbursement.

When your worker has begun their approved training, submit a reimbursement request form along with receipts, to receive grant funds for approved actual expenditures claimed.
